DovePlay: My First IndiMeet

Since the day I joined IndiBlogger, I’ve always heard about meets. Usually these meets are organized in metro cities like Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai. Bangalore, being a hub of writers (or so I think), has also seen fair share of the meets. I live in Ahmedabad and so I had never ever thought of attending these meets. It was as good as wishing for the stars because being a working woman, I never thought I could take out the time to travel in train to the city where the meet was being held and spending thousands of bucks on the flight tickets never made sense to me. So imagine my surprise when IndiBlogger and Dove extended an exclusive invite to me for the meet!

Guest Post: The Princess and the Frog

I love reading fiction and there are few bloggers whom I read religiously. Karthik L, who blogs at Three Reams of the Mind, is one of those. So when he asked me if I would like to re-tell any fairy tale, I jumped at the chance. Literally. Read on my attempt and let me know what do you think of it.

A peek into the story

"What's so funny?" asked the disgruntled frog.

"Well, this is 21st century. Do you really want me to believe that witches exist? What do you take me for?"

"Then how many talking frogs have you encountered in your 21st century?"

Collateral Damage

Source: Wikipedia
According to Wikipedia, collateral damage is damage to things that are incidental to the intended target. This term is a military term and many times you must have heard it in political situations and in movies about war and politics. What’s more interesting about this term is, it happens to us in real life even when we are neither in politics nor in military.

Book Review: Sorting Out Sid

Book Title: Sorting Out Sid
Author: Yashodhara Lal
Genre: Chick Lit (Or so I think)
Price: Rs. 250

Synopsis

Meet Sid, a master at the art of denial, in this hilarious, insightful tale of modern-day living and relationships.

Siddharth Agarwal a.k.a. Sid has it all – a fifteen-year-long marriage, a bunch of devoted friends, and the chance to be the company’s youngest-ever VP, all at the age of thirty-six.

But, behind the scenes, his life is slowly falling apart, what with his marriage on the rocks, parents who treat him like a delinquent child, and overly-interfering, backstabbing friends. And that’s not even counting the manipulative HR vixen and the obnoxious boss he must tackle in office.

So, when lovely, spunky single mom Neha materializes in his life, she brings into it a ray of hope. But will she cause the brewing storm to finally erupt?

Who said it would be easy sorting out Sid?
